Eminen is Coming out with a New Album.

Eminem recently stopped by his Shade 45 radio station for DJ Whoo Kid’s birthday bash and he ended up giving some details on his upcoming “Relapse 2″ album. “Me and Fif did a couple of records, couple of months ago in Vegas, one song for my record and another for his,” Em revealed in an interview.
Em then went on to give details on the 50 Cent collab. “We just wanted to like, I just had an idea to like ‘Yo, why don’t we do something we ain’t done yet.’ And kinda go back and forth, we’ve kinda done it on other records but not to the extent of what we’re doing on this one.”
Before he left, Eminem also talked about production for his upcoming LP. “The way that it’s going now, K’Naan has two [produced] tracks on the record and Just Blaze has four, possibly five…I definitely feel like I’m in a little different space right now. I don’t know, with the last record, it felt like a lot of it had to do with me being sober…With Relapse 1 — a lot of that album, I wanted to rap at fire and do punchlines.”

Lady Gaga Reveals her Sexuality

Pop star sensation Lady Gaga surprised her millions of fans by parading on stage without an underwear showing that she is intersex and has male and female genitalia. This has not yet been confirmed, but the video is certainly interesting. There are also reports that she has said:
"Its not something that I’m ashamed of, just isn’t something that I go around telling everyone. Yes. I have both male and female genitalia, but I consider myself a female. Its just a little bit of a penis and really doesn’t interfere much with my life. the reason I haven’t talked about it is that its not a big deal to me. Like come on. its not like we all go around talking about our vags. I think this is a great opportunity to make other multiple gendered people feel more comfortable with their bodies. I’m sexy, I’m hot. I have both a poon and a peener. Big f***ing deal."

President Obama Said Somethin About Kanye West Behavior.

Has President Obama finally found an issue that could unite both Democrats and Republicans in Washington? Obama was wrapping up an interview with CNBC tonight when he was asked about hip-hop star Kanye West’s bizarre appearance at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. According to an ABC reporter who later posted the comment on Twitter, Obama called Kanye a "jackass."Now, in case you’ve been in a cave for the past 36 hours, here’s what happened: Kanye West dashed on stage during the show and ripped the microphone away from teen country starlet Taylor Swift as she was accepting an award for "Best Female Video." “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time,” West declared. “One of the best videos of ALL TIME!!” Swift, who is perhaps most famous for being dumped by a Jonas brother, just stood there, looking dazed. Needless to say, the clip was candy to the cable TV nets, which aired it hundreds of times on Monday. It was also the talk of the Internet─where an incredibly humorous mass up video, posted above, made the rounds. In it, it was made to look like it was West who interrupted Obama’s speech last week to Congress, not Rep. Joe (“You LIE!!”) Wilson. (Your Gaggler’s favorite moment: the almost hand-clap from Lindsey Graham, who we could actually envision being a fan of Beyonce.)

Jazz still intact

Oh you lucky, lucky people! Yes, the daily jazz has returned for another stab, and with what a gem! This 1957 LP on the Blue Note 1500 series is unusual for many reasons, featuring as it does two tenors together. Not only that, but the Chicago school (in the case of Jordan and Gilmore) and the New York set (in the shape of a superlative rhythm section - Art Blakey, Horace Silver and Curly Russell) collide in a high energy hard bop spectacular. It's also one of the very few (the only?) place where you'll hear John Gilmore playing it straight. This would have been recorded near the beginning of his extended tenure with Sun Ra's various groups so is a great chance to hear him just blowing, unencumbered by his bandleader's more unusual compositions. The music is unreconstructed hard bop, often at a furious pace (see today's audio clip, 'Status Quo', for an example), very much in the style of hard bop innovators like the jazz messengers. In some respects it sounds a little dated for 1957. The sound quality isn't as good as some RVGs either, though perhaps my thin-vinyl 80s repressing is to blame for that. In any case, it's recently had a reissue on Blue Note's ever expanding RVG Series, so you can decide for yourselves. See, I told you you were lucky, lucky people!

New X-Files Album

Songs in the Key of X: Music and Inspired by X-Files was the first album released in association with the popular television series The X-Files released in 1996. It contained both music that had been featured in the show, as well as music whose themes were in line with the concepts of the show. The album peaked at #47 on Billbord's Top 200 chart. Producers used the Compact Disc's pregap, so a listener would have to actually manually rewind the first track a full nine minutes to hear the 2 hidden tracks by Nick Cave. This is hinted at in the CD booklet - "Nick Cave and the Dirty Three would like you to know that "0" is also a number." Not all CD or DVD players will allow you to "rewind" back to these tracks as this violates Red Book standards. I was tempted to put up the bonus "hidden" tracks but decided against it and will go with my faves from one of my all time favorite TV shows.
